SWARM MAG started and continues as a platform for showcasing and supporting all things fresh, innovative, and exciting found on the current artistic scene, with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe.

Writers, musicians, visual artists, performers, conceptualists, fashion designers and many more are heartily invited to share their work. If you would like to get involved or featured, read our brief guidelines and get in touch.

GUIDELINES

Hi there, we are always happy to receive new submissions for the mag and for the website. To make it easier for everyone, here are the guidelines for submitting any works or portfolios. Please note that we might skip any submissions not sticking to said guidelines.

Please, always send your story, article, portfolio (you name it) as a small PDF – we don’t need a 20GB behemoth for the first viewing. Also, if you need to send individual pictures as attachments, use smaller resolution for the initial e-mail, we will contact you for print- and/or web-ready quality if we select your work to be featured. It’s easier for us to get acquainted with your work if you follow the guidelines. We will contact you back if we accept your submission and send you the confirmation by an e-mail.

SWARM MAG IS NOT OBLIGED TO ACCEPT EVERY SUBMISSION.

FASHION EDITORIALS/ PHOTOGRAPHY/ CONTEMPORARY ART:  an artwork must include at least up to 6 pictures and an accompanying backstory/description in either English or Czech/Slovak.

VIDEO ART:  the artwork(s) must be uploaded on an accessible platform and sent only via URLs. All submissions must be accompanied by a backstory/description in either English or Czech/Slovak.

WORDS:  We are always on the look-out for fresh writers or columnists. If you want to share an idea for a story, opinion, observation or an article, please, do get in touch with a pitch containing a brief outline, alongside one or two examples of previous writing (which do not need to be published pieces).

If you do not have a concrete idea but would like to make any kind of a written contribution for us, send a few examples of your work and a little about yourself to info@swarmmag.com and address the e-mail to our founder Markéta to discuss opportunities. If we hit it off, we can come up with a topic or issue together, or we might assign you some of the themes we’re currently interested in.

GENERAL RULES: always send all submission featuring someone’s work with credits, including Instagram handles.

Writers must be fluent in written English, Czech or Slovak language.
